Support for children with Type 1 in schools

There are 2,500 children in Greater London with Type 1 diabetes, including those living in Harrow.   Some of these families use the paediatric diabetes service at UCLH near Euston and have benefitted from excellent advice about ssecuring support for young children in school re. their injections, blood testing, having easy access to glucose when blood sugar is low and managing hypos.  That hospital has published some excellent advice which those using other hospitals might want to read and use when talking to their own children's clinics and schools.   These guidelines can be read online here.
